Role Overview:

The State Head will serve as the primary leader for operations across the designated region, overseeing the end-to-end performance of the last-mile delivery network. This role involves driving operational excellence, managing large-scale field teams, and ensuring seamless service delivery for high-volume clients. You will work closely with regional leadership, central operations teams, and external stakeholders to optimize costs, improve delivery metrics, and scale the business footprint. Your leadership will directly influence the company's market share and service reliability in key urban and semi-urban centers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor large operational teams to ensure high productivity, adherence to safety standards, and consistent service quality across the state.

- Manage complex stakeholder relationships, including local authorities, vendor partners, and client representatives, to ensure smooth business operations.

- Optimize last-mile delivery workflows by analyzing performance data to reduce turnaround times and improve cost efficiency.

- Oversee the expansion of the delivery network in the region by identifying new hubs and scaling infrastructure to meet fluctuating demand.

- Monitor key performance indicators such as delivery success rates, cost-per-delivery, and partner retention to drive continuous improvement in regional profitability.

- Implement company-wide operational policies and technology upgrades to ensure the regional team remains aligned with national business objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale logistics or supply chain operations with a deep understanding of last-mile delivery dynamics.

- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and influence cross-functional teams to achieve aggressive business targets.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret operational data and translate insights into actionable strategies for performance improvement.

- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing, distributed teams across multiple locations.

- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on long-term operational stability and growth.

- A minimum of 10 - 15 years of professional experience in operations management, preferably within the logistics, e-commerce, or quick-commerce sectors.

- A post-graduate degree from a premier institute is highly preferred, coupled with the flexibility to travel across the assigned state as required by business needs.
