Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Associate Director - Business Development to lead growth initiatives across key B2B accounts. This role is responsible for managing and expanding strategic relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring long-term client retention. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with relationship management expertise and a proven track record of scaling key accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Account Management:
- Own and manage a portfolio of high-value strategic accounts.
- Build deep, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Develop account plans aligned with client business objectives and company growth strategy.
2. Revenue Growth & Expansion:
- Identify and execute opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
- Drive account-level revenue growth through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue and growth targets.
3. Client Retention & Satisfaction:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement.
- Act as the primary escalation point for key accounts, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor account health metrics and implement corrective actions where needed.
4. Business Development:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities within existing and adjacent accounts.
- Lead negotiations, contract renewals, and commercial discussions.
- Contribute to pipeline development for strategic accounts.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, operations, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and value delivery.
- Provide customer insights to internal stakeholders to inform product and service improvements.
6. Leadership & Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor junior account managers or business development team members.
- Drive a culture of accountability, performance, and customer-centricity.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in B2B business development and key account management.
- Proven track record of managing and growing large, strategic accounts.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and achieve targets.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
