About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to drive our data strategy, lead advanced analytics initiatives, and guide a high-performing team.

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights, influence product and business decisions, and scale our data science capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team, providing technical guidance and career development.

- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities where data science can add value.

- Design and implement machine learning models, statistical analyses, and predictive systems at scale.

- Translate complex findings into clear business recommendations for leadership.

- Define best practices for experimentation, model evaluation, and data quality.

- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and research in data science, applying them to solve business problems.

- Establish frameworks for reproducible, reliable, and ethical AI/ML practices.

Qualifications

- Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

- 7+ years of experience in data science, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role.

- Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization.

- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

- Hands-on experience with SQL and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Proven ability to influence decision-making and drive measurable business impact through data.

Nice to Have

- Experience working in product-driven or SaaS companies.

- Background in deep learning, NLP, or recommendation systems.

- Contributions to open-source projects or research publications
