Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Workday Finance Lead with deep expertise in Workday Core Financials and Adaptive Planning to own end-to-end Record to Report (R2R), financial close, and planning processes. This role partners closely with Controllers, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams, acting as the functional authority for financial data integrity, configuration governance, and strategic finance enablement.

Key Responsibilities:1. Strategy, Design & Configuration
Record to Report (R2R):- Own and govern the Financial Data Model (FDM).
- Configure and optimize business processes for Journals, Fixed Assets, Allocations, and Period Close.
- Design and maintain period-close checklists to reduce close cycles and improve accuracy.
Adaptive Planning- Manage and maintain Workday Core Finance Adaptive Planning integration.
- Configure and support versions, levels, sheets, and forecasting models.
- Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning.
Tax & Treasury- Configure Bank Account Management, Settlement Rules, and Ad-hoc Bank Transactions.
- Manage withholding tax rules and sales tax adapter integrations.
- Support treasury operations and banking integrations.
ReportingDesign and maintain Composite Reports for statutory and management reporting: Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statements
2. L2 Support & Operational Ownership
Period Close & Accounting Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues blocking period close (unposted journals, accounting date mismatches, validation errors).
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Bank Reconciliation- Investigate and resolve unreconciled bank statement lines.
- Ensure accurate system matching and reconciliation rules.
Adaptive Planning Support- Resolve access issues for budget owners and FP&A users.
- Troubleshoot broken formulas, version issues, and planning model inconsistencies.
Asset Management
- Correct depreciation errors, asset transfers, and rollbacks of incorrect disposals.
FDM & Governance
- Review and approve creation/changes to Cost Centers, Ledger Accounts, and Hierarchies.
- Ensure correct mapping between Workday Core Financials and Adaptive Planning.
Qualifications & Experience:Mandatory:Active Workday Pro / Implementer Certification in: Core Financials or Adaptive Planning
- 10+ years of overall experience, with 5+ years in Finance Systems / Workday Financials.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Core Financials (GL-centric).
- Deep understanding of GAAP / IFRS accounting principles.
Preferred:- CPA or strong Accounting background.
- Experience partnering with Controllers and FP&A leadership.
- Exposure to financial close optimization and compliance-driven environments.
