Sr.VP//VP - Credit Risk Reporting to: Chief Risk Officer Location: Bengaluru Must have 12 yrs. of relevant experience in Credit Policy & Administration for an Indian bank with a large presence. Sr VP/VP of Credit Risk is responsible for assisting the Chief Risk Officer with the following: - Managing the credit risk function of the bank relating to all types of lending - Ensuring that credit facilities and loans are granted within the RBI regulations and Bank's credit policies - Responsible for overall adequacy and effectiveness of the credit risk management techniques/process. Main responsibilities : - Responsible for the daily supervision of the Credit Policy, Administration & Regulatory Reporting, and leading initiatives to create local credit policies, workflow and frameworks to ensure they meet regulatory needs and establish and manage a credit monitoring framework - Support the Chief Risk Officer in the establishment and review of credit related rules, procedures, new projects etc. and ensure that they are in compliance with local regulations for strong risk governance framework - Keep abreast of market conditions, regulatory developments and industry trends to anticipate credit deterioration and recommend corrective courses of action, as needed - Develop framework for portfolio risk assessment including evaluation of credit and financial performance across varied lending products and industry segments - Recommending classification for loans & advances according to RBI guidelines and coordinating required provisioning for all identified problematic accounts. - Coordinating with external and RBI auditors reviewing credit facilities - Oversees submission of periodic reports regarding the status of the loan portfolio to the Chief Risk Officer - Monitor development, maintenance and evaluation of portfolios for compliance to bank-wide policies and procedures as well as banking regulations. - Support periodic audits and examinations (internal and external) within the department by reviewing the recommendations and establishing countermeasures as appropriate - Monitor the preparation of regulatory (RBI) reporting for credit related items including ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment) and Stress Testing and ensuring that regulatory stipulations are adhered. Skills & Knowledge: - Strong knowledge of local regulations (including reporting) relating to Credit - 12 years of relevant experience in Credit Policy & Administration for an Indian bank with a large presence in India - Good experience in establishing Credit frameworks & control mechanisms and ability to upskill in line with emerging requirements.
