Senior Vice President - SME - CASA Operations

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President CASA Operations to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead critical operational, transformation, and governance initiatives within the CASA domain. This role requires deep expertise in banking operations, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to bridge business, IT, and compliance functions to ensure seamless and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

- Act as SME for CASA Operations, providing strategic direction and domain expertise

- Review and sign off on deliverables created by SMEs, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams

- Drive end-to-end CASA operational excellence, including account opening, maintenance, and transaction processing

- Oversee process documentation including BRDs, functional specifications, SOPs, and operational manuals

- Collaborate with Business/Product Owners, IT teams, Compliance, Risk, and Domain Leads for project execution

- Lead and support IT transformation initiatives and system implementations related to CASA operations

- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal risk and audit frameworks

- Manage and guide teams in documentation, test case preparation, and UAT execution

- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and project risks with effective resolution strategies

- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency across CASA operations

- Ensure accurate handling of interest calculations, reconciliations, and transaction lifecycle processes

- Oversee operations related to OD accounts, Time Deposits, Foreign Exchange, and SWIFT messaging

- Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors

Required Skills & Competencies :

- Deep expertise in CASA Operations (Back-office) within banking/financial services

- Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation (BRD, FSD, SOPs)

- Proven ability to manage large-scale banking operations and transformation programs

- Strong knowledge of core banking systems, preferably Flexcube implementation/usage

- Expertise in transaction processing, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance frameworks

- Strong understanding of OD management, Time Deposits, Forex operations, and SWIFT messaging

- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

- Experience in risk management, audit readiness, and issue resolution

- Ability to lead teams, mentor SMEs/BAs, and drive high-performance outcomes

- Strong communication and presentation skills with senior leadership engagement

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in global banking environments or large financial institutions

- Exposure to digital transformation and automation initiatives in banking operations

- Advanced certifications in banking, operations, or risk management (preferred)
