Senior Vice President - Risk Management Operations

Key Responsibilities:

- Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead their Risk Management Operations function. This role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, overseeing compliance, and ensuring the financial well-being of client-based trading operations.

- The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market risks, and a proven track record in risk management within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies.

- Monitor and manage risks associated with clients open positions in derivatives, as well as debits in T5 funding and MTF funding portfolios.

- Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate potential impacts.

- Coordinate with various back-office and front-office vendors for the implementation of risk management policies.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation in systems and processes.

- Ensure compliance with relevant circulars and guidelines related to clients trading activities from a risk management perspective.

- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to risk management practices.

- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management.

- Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals, fostering a culture of risk awareness.

- Enhance existing risk management tools and systems to improve operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, or related fields; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, FRM) preferred.

- Significant experience (typically 7-12 years) in risk management within the stock broking or financial services sector.

- Proven track record of managing market risk, credit risk, and operational risk in client-facing trading operations.

- Hands-on experience with risk management tools, systems, and reporting platforms.

- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in trading and client operations.
