Senior Vice President - Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Process Leadership:

- Be accountable for the execution and monitoring of the CDD Quality Assurance process implementation and output.

- Identify, develop, and implement future target operating models to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Lead continuous improvement strategies for team productivity and resource utilization.

- Provide Quality guidance to help the organization meet regulatory requirements and deadlines.

People Leadership & Development:

- Manage, coach, and develop a team of Quality Assurance professionals to achieve their maximum potential.

- Develop team performance goals, plans, and ensure their successful execution.

- Create and implement comprehensive feedback and coaching programs to support Operational teams.

- Foster a high-performance culture in line with the organization's people leader fundamentals.

Training & Capability Uplift:

- Design and implement training programs for the Operations Team by leveraging insights from QA findings to mature compliance and risk knowledge across the function.

- Actively identify opportunities to improve compliance and risk quality through the provision of technical advice and training.

- Lead technical support in coaching and enabling both CDD and QA teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

- Work closely with the CDD Leadership Team to identify and act upon opportunities to uplift and mature operational teams.

- Report on progress, key issues, and performance metrics to Leadership.

- Provide expert advice and judgment on complex tasks and problems within your core expertise.

- Engage with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions.

Subject Matter Expertise:

- Act as the primary point of contact for AML and Sanctions subject matter expertise for CDD QA and CDD Operational teams.

- Provide assistance in solving escalated BAU matters and queries.

- Capabilities and Experience Requirements

Essential Capabilities:

- Proven people leadership skills and experience in effectively managing a team.

- Detailed knowledge and experience in Regulatory Risk Frameworks.

- Extensive knowledge and experience in AML/CTF and Sanctions regulatory frameworks and a strong understanding of associated obligations and controls.

- Proven ability to problem-solve in a complex regulatory environment.

- Ability to identify process interdependencies and provide necessary adjustments to advice, guidance, procedures, and training.

- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to support changing demands and manage multiple priorities.

- Experience using operational management tools (e.g., Active Ops, AOM, FocusIQ) to manage resources, cost, productivity, and deliver efficiencies.

Other Capabilities:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate risk and provide thorough support for operations teams.

- A strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree is essential.

- A degree-level qualification in AML/CTF, Financial Crime, Legal, Risk, Criminology, or a related field is highly desirable.

- Professional certifications such as ACAMS, ICA, CCP, or other relevant qualifications in Financial Crime are highly regarded.

Experience:

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working within a Financial Crime function.

- A minimum of 5 years in a comparable CDD/AML, policy & framework, Financial Crime Assurance, or training role.

- Overall 15+ years of experience in Banking operations in a similar capacity.

- Proven experience providing AML/CTF technical advice, guidance, and training in a large organization.

- Experience in the implementation of regulatory change and Policy initiatives.

- Demonstrated experience in engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple divisions.

- A strong track record of coaching, developing, and leading teams and managers.
