
Role Overview:
As the Sr. Vice President - Procurement (Commodity products food grains, staples, eatables, packaged foods) you will spearhead the strategic direction and execution of all procurement, purchasing, and vendor management activities for our organization.
This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and engineering, to ensure optimal sourcing strategies, cost-effective procurement processes, and strong vendor relationships.
- Your leadership will directly impact our bottom line by driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and ensuring the timely availability of high-quality goods and services, ultimately contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives to achieve cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement to maximize team performance and individual growth.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with key vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Oversee the entire vendor management lifecycle, from selection and onboarding to performance monitoring and relationship management, to maintain a reliable and high-performing supply base.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks through proactive monitoring, contingency planning, and diversification of sourcing options to ensure business continuity.
- Drive the adoption of best-in-class procurement technologies and processes to streamline operations, improve data visibility, and enhance decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored procurement solutions that meet their specific requirements and support their business goals.
