Senior Vice President - Investment Banking

Job Description :

Role Summary :

We are seeking a senior leader within the infrastructure team.

The successful candidate will drive business development and origination, convert relationships into mandates, and lead transaction execution end to end.

Key Responsibilities :

- Transaction Execution :

i. Support and lead the execution of advisory mandates across M&A, private equity, structured finance, debt syndication, and refinancing transactions.

ii. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful deal execution from mandate to closure.

iii. Assist in preparing financial models, pitch books, transaction documents, and client presentations.

- Client Management :

i. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across the infrastructure ecosystem, including roads, renewable energy, logistics, e-mobility, connectivity, storage, and related sectors.

ii. Work closely with promoters, CXOs, and finance teams to understand their business and financing requirements.

- Business Development :

i. Support senior leadership in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

ii. Gradually build the capability to originate advisory mandates through client relationships, networking, and market engagement.

iii. Contribute to developing a healthy pipeline of opportunities over time.

- Strategic Advisory :

i. Assist clients in evaluating financing options, capital structure, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.

ii. Work with internal teams to provide practical and value-driven financial solutions.

- Market & Sector Research :

i. Keep track of industry trends, regulatory developments, and capital market activity.

ii. Share relevant insights with clients and internal teams to support business development and execution.

Candidate Profile :

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

- MBA, CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.

- 12+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or a similar role.

- Strong experience in executing M&A, debt, equity, or structured finance transactions.

- Exposure to infrastructure, renewable energy, logistics, mobility, or related sectors is preferred.

- Good understanding of financial modelling, valuation, and transaction processes.

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Demonstrated interest and potential to develop business origination capabilities over time.

- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership.
