A leading Indian sell-side broking platform is seeking a seasoned SVP - Institutional Equity to drive institutional client engagement, revenue growth, and franchise development. The role sits at the intersection of client relationships, market intelligence, and internal product alignment, and will work closely with research, dealing, and leadership teams to deepen institutional penetration.

This position is ideal for a senior institutional sales professional who combines strong client credibility with a nuanced understanding of Indian capital markets.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own and grow relationships with domestic and offshore institutional investors including DIIs, FIIs, PMS/AIFs, hedge funds, and proprietary trading desks.

- Drive institutional brokerage revenues across cash equities, derivatives, and structured equity solutions.

- Act as a strategic interface between institutional clients and internal research, dealing, and capital markets teams.

- Deliver high-quality idea dissemination, trade execution support, and client-specific market insights.

- Expand wallet share with existing institutional clients while selectively onboarding new strategic relationships.

- Provide structured feedback to research and leadership based on institutional investor expectations and market trends.

- Support block trades, special situations, and high-impact transactions in coordination with internal stakeholders.

- Mentor and guide junior sales team members, contributing to long-term franchise building.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 10-15 years of experience in institutional equity sales with a reputed sell-side brokerage or capital markets platform.

- Strong, demonstrable relationships across domestic and/or offshore institutional investors.

- Deep understanding of Indian equity markets, trading dynamics, and institutional client behaviour.

- Proven ability to drive revenues while maintaining high standards of compliance and governance.

- Commercially astute, intellectually curious, and comfortable engaging senior decision-makers.

- Strong collaboration mindset with the ability to influence without authority.

- Prior experience working closely with equity research and dealing teams is essential.
