Senior Vice President - Global Markets Product Control - Banking/Financial Services

A leading global financial services institution is seeking a Senior Vice President for its Global Markets Product Control function. The role will own profit and loss reporting, valuation controls, independent price verification, fair value adjustments, and financial control frameworks across Global Markets products. The position involves regulatory compliance, audit management, risk and control oversight, and collaboration with trading, finance, and regional stakeholders. The role will also contribute to new product launches, process transformation, and regional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee profit and loss reporting, attribution, valuation, and balance sheet controls across Global Markets products.

- Ensure independent price verification, fair value adjustments, valuation reserves, and prudent valuation processes adhere to internal policies and applicable accounting standards.

- Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including relevant International Financial Reporting Standards and Basel guidelines.

- Lead audit coordination, regulatory reporting, control reviews, and closure of audit findings.

- Partner with trading, finance, risk, and regional stakeholders on business insights, new product launches, and control enhancements.

- Drive process improvements, data analytics, technology initiatives, and governance across Product Control.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 11 - 15 years of experience in finance, Product Control, or financial control within Global Markets.

- Strong understanding of profit and loss reporting, valuation principles, and the trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes.

- Experience with independent price verification, fair value adjustments, valuation reserves, and regulatory reporting.

- Strong knowledge of financial control frameworks, accounting standards, risk management, and audit requirements.

- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and work across regional and global teams.

- Willingness to relocate to Mumbai and work onsite full time.
