Job Title: Senior Vice President - Global Delivery Head


Reporting to: CEO


Experience level: 20+ Years


Position Type: Full-time


Role and Responsibilities:


We are looking for a leader with extensive experience of Global Delivery Management. The incumbent must be an Intrapreneur within an enterprise, heading Automation & Application IT Delivery, AI, nurture & grow a strong team fostering a positive, high-energy high-performance culture.

S/He will be responsible to develop, grow and communicate a clear, simple, customer-focused vision/direction for the IT industry vertical Delivery teams. S/He must be forward thinking, stretches horizons, challenges imaginations acting as a transformational Leader. A leader who inspires and energizes the teams to commit to the Vision, captures minds, Leads by example.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Own and build the Delivery ecosystem thereby ensuring successful Service Delivery

- Accountable to ensure quality execution in project level deliveries to drive satisfaction in the customer partner experience

- Set goals, monitor performance, diagnose the cause of problems, visualize creative solutions and follow through to deliver successfully.

- Monitor implementation against contractual obligations. Keep all internal and external stakeholders informed on risks and issues. Anticipate risks and create comprehensive risk mitigation plans including creating contingency plans and managing contingencies.

- Identify & manage external partners (for specialized services) and internal stakeholders (IT, HR, Finance, Business Development) to ensure seamless delivery

- Plan and ensure all required hardware, software, interface and human resources required are available for successful execution

- Define, implement and refine delivery strategies to ensure business objectives (Profitability, Quality, Responsiveness & Innovation) are met

- End to end Program / Project Management (planning, design, development, risk management, resource management and client interaction).

- Visioning for key Accounts in conjunction with sales with the objective of moving up the value chain in terms of our offerings

- Enable key business decisions by contributing to Sales Strategy & Business Development

- Identify unstated needs of customers and shape the customer's thinking in order to convert them to big opportunities for company's.

- Facilitate negotiation & creation of SLAs with Sales and Project Managers. Define governance measures to ensure adherence to agreed SLAs

- Set high standards of quality for all Delivery aspects within the team

- Gain market intelligence to understand the organizations positioning vis- vis competition. Create incubation centers for new practices, drive change across multiple customer groups thereby creating value for the customer and the organization

- Ensure effective Financial Management - holds P&L Responsibility

- End to end P&L responsibility for projects in terms of managing revenue, effort, cost, schedule management & profitability

- Publish Dashboards as per agreed schedule to track Project performance on financial parameters and adherence to schedule

- Track ROI for internal projects (for eg. Automation) / POCs

- Ensure optimization in resource allocation to project. Track and maintain optimum level of overall resource utilization

- Partner with Business Development team in mining existing accounts by exploring new avenues for increasing revenue

- Implement measures to plug revenue leakage (ie. ensuring change requests are appropriately identified & billed; tight control on resource billing for T&M projects etc.)

- Responsible for internal and external stakeholder management

- Continually engage with customers (at a non-technical and executive business level), acting as an ambassador for company's thus ensuring key relationships are nurtured and developed to their full potential.

- Ensure good understanding of customer requirements & manage customer expectations. Drive the team to deliver successfully thereby taking complete responsibility of wowing the customer.

- Proactively educate team on customers goals. Monitor measures of customer satisfaction and build customer focus in the team.

- Ensure adequate support to internal teams that support delivery (eg. Presales support to BD, Billing support to Accounts, Interviewers for HR etc.)

- Visioning & Inspiring a culture of excellence, collaboration & entrepreneurial spirit within the team

- Maintain long-term perspective and steer decisions accordingly. Look at business trends as opportunities for growth and best value creation. Create and share a compelling vision for the Team. Develop strategies to turn the vision into reality

- Drive a High performance culture with high level of integrity & respect for every individual

- Support the strategic development of next level leadership in the team, build capability and empower people in key roles

- Empower, delegate and increase levels of individual accountability.

- Encourage & drive innovation and adoption of best practices across teams

- Setting up knowledge management process and repository for sharing learnings and assets across projects.

- Create strong morale and team spirit amongst diverse teams

Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering / computer science with an MBA.
