Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities Operational Support:
- Provide comprehensive operational support to ensure the effective execution of renewable energy projects, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
Coordination and Monitoring:
- Closely monitor project progress and coordinate with the corporate team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across all project stages.
Project Supervision:
- Oversee the development and implementation of new renewable energy projects and Project Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Reporting to Senior Management:
- Report directly to senior management, delivering insights and updates on project status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic and Tactical Assistance:
- Assist in all strategic and tactical matters related to project development and implementation, contributing to decision-making processes and strategic planning.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with project execution and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration to drive successful project outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and community representatives, to build support and facilitate project implementation.
- Role Demands Travel.
EDUCATION:
- Qualification Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (BE/B. Tech) is preferred. WITH MBA.
- Skills/Experience, Certification, Exposure - Post-qualification work experience of 25+ years, with at least 10 to 15 years of experience specifically in implementation of solar/wind/renewable energy projects, demonstrating a track record of successfully managing projects.
- Project Management: Ability to oversee and manage all project implementation activities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with the corporate team, site managers, EPC contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to facilitate discussions with OEM suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and other parties involved in project implementation.
- Leadership: Ability to supervise and direct project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Compliance Management: Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements in the renewable energy sector and the ability to ensure compliance with these regulations throughout project implementation.
- Internal Controls: Capability to develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard project assets and ensure proper management of project resources.
- Problem-solving: Aptitude for identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions to address construction, technical, or regulatory challenges during project implementation.
Knowledge:
- Renewable Energy Projects: In-depth knowledge and experience in managing the full cycle for implementation of renewable energy projects, from inception to commissioning, with a minimum capacity of 50 MW.
- Contractor Management: Experience in handling contractors and subcontractors, including overseeing their performance, ensuring adherence to project requirements, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Right of Way (ROW) Issues: Familiarity with ROW issues related to land acquisition and permitting processes in the renewable energy sector.
- Government Policies and Regulations: Understanding of government policies, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements relevant to the power sector and renewable energy projects.
- Engineering and Construction: Basic knowledge of engineering principles and construction practices, particularly related to renewable energy project development and implementation.
