We are looking for a senior engineering leader who has built and scaled consumer platforms, shipped AI- driven systems into production, and now wants to define a category rather than simply operate within one.

This role sits at the intersection of product, platform, data, and AI, with a potential path to CTO within 2 years.

The company is incubated by PlugScale and backed by a global healthcare leader based in Tokyo, trusted by millions of doctors across multiple countries. Since a strategic partnership formed in 2019, the platform has scaled to address challenges comparable to leading global technology platforms.

Role Overview:

As the Senior Vice President of Engineering, based in Bangalore, you will be responsible for leading and scaling our engineering organization, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high- quality, scalable, and secure solutions for our clients. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, client stakeholders, and engineering teams to define the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap. This role has a significant impact on our clients' success by enabling them to leverage the latest technologies to achieve their business goals.

What the Candidate Will Do?

Own the Technology Vision:

- Lead the transformation from a content platform into a personalized learning system

- Define and communicate a clear, long- term technical vision aligned with business and product strategy

- Partner closely with founders and product leadership to shape product direction and technical execution

Turn Learning Into Intelligence:

- Unify videos, question banks, tests, and learner mistakes into a continuous feedback loop

- Build data- and ML- driven personalization to identify real learning gaps and recommend precise next actions

- Lay the foundation for AI- assisted test reviews, learning insights, and adaptive learning pathways

Run and Evolve the Platform:

- Ensure Security, Scalability, and Stability (SSS) across all systems

- Continuously evolve system architecture while reducing long- term technical debt

Build and Lead High- Impact Teams:

- Grow and lead engineering teams from 10 - 100+ across backend, mobile, data, AI, video, payments, and security

- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and delivery excellence

Basic Qualifications:

- 15+ years of experience building and scaling complex software systems and consumer products

- Proven track record of shipping ML- driven, data- centric features into production

- Strong background in backend and systems engineering with deep system- design expertise

- Hands- on experience designing data architectures for personalization, analytics, and scale

- Experience leading monolith - microservices transitions in production environments

- Ability to operate under high business urgency and translate founder- level goals into scalable systems

- Experience building and leading large engineering teams with consistent, predictable delivery

- Comfort working across a diverse tech stack: backend, mobile, data, AI, video, payments, and security

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience across both high- growth startups and mature, process- driven organizations

- Ability to operate fluidly across backend, data, and mobile layers

- Experience scaling platforms through rapid growth, handling performance and organizational change

- Practical experience applying security principles in large- scale systems

- Background in large- scale streaming, media platforms, or data- intensive consumer products
