- Interpersonal Stakeholder management & good communication skills.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring that risk management strategy, operational risk management, and control frameworks are applied effectively in the firm
- Advice and guidance on risk, obligations, events, and control items
- Compliance plans assist to identify applicable obligations and design controls, evidence points, and indicators to effectively monitor compliance
- Performing risk and control reviews and regularly assessing impacts
- Ensuring issues are known and resolved in a timely manner, lead gap assessment and treatment plan execution
- Leverage skills from other specialist teams as needed and where suitable
- Management of control environment through design, testing, and management of controls
Essential Capabilities:
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills up to executive level and beyond
- Highly developed communication skills verbal and written
- Deep understanding of risk management
Other Capabilities:
- Ability to distil, simplify and summaries complex regulatory information into crisp action plans
Experience:
- 15+ years experience working in operational risk, controls, obligation management, including experience in control assessment and development
- Experience in writing Board papers, development of policies and framework is desirable
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor degree qualification in an aligned discipline
- Chartered Accountant / Legal / Compliance background
- Certifications in Risk and/or Quality is desirable
