Role Overview:

Ocean Lifespaces is looking for an accomplished Senior Vice President - Data Centre to lead the execution and delivery of large-scale data centre projects. The incumbent will be responsible for overall project strategy, construction execution, commercial performance, client management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.

The ideal candidate should have significant experience in Data Centre construction/project delivery, with strong exposure to complex, mission-critical projects and the ability to manage projects from pre-construction/planning through execution, commissioning and final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide overall leadership for Data Centre project planning, execution and delivery.

- Take ownership of projects with respect to scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety and client expectations.

- Lead the complete project lifecycle from pre-construction, planning and mobilization through execution, testing/commissioning and handover.

- Develop project execution strategies, master schedules, resource plans and delivery milestones.

- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, Design, Planning, Procurement, Commercial and QA/QC teams.

- Drive coordination between civil infrastructure and critical MEP packages required for Data Centre facilities.

- Monitor project budgets, cash flows, cost-to-complete, variations and overall commercial performance.

- Review project progress and identify schedule, cost or execution risks early, implementing appropriate mitigation plans.

- Manage senior-level relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.

- Lead project review meetings and provide accurate progress reporting to senior management and clients.

- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements and applicable standards.

- Drive strong EHS and quality culture across all project locations.

- Support procurement and vendor/contractor finalization for major project packages.

- Resolve critical technical, contractual and execution issues affecting project delivery.

- Lead, mentor and develop Project Directors, Project Managers and other senior members of the project organization.

- Ensure timely testing, commissioning, documentation, snag closure and final project handover.

Candidate Requirements:

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

- 20 - 25 years of overall experience in construction/project management.

- Strong and recent experience in Data Centre projects is essential.

- Should have handled large-scale and technically complex projects in a senior leadership capacity.

- Strong understanding of Data Centre construction methodology and coordination between Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP systems.

- Experience managing multiple contractors, consultants, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.

- Strong exposure to project planning, budgeting, contracts, procurement, quality and EHS.

- Proven ability to manage senior client stakeholders and conduct high-level project reviews.

- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to control project costs and protect project margins.

- Demonstrated experience in leading large project teams and driving projects against demanding timelines.
