Role Overview
A senior leadership position within cybersecurity, reporting into the Chief Information Security function, responsible for driving execution of enterprise security strategy. The role focuses on safeguarding mission-critical, high-availability systems and sensitive data from advanced threat vectors, while strengthening overall cyber resilience and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring seamless protection of always-on, high-performance digital environments.
- Oversee threat monitoring, incident response, recovery planning, and resilience frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and compliance requirements, along with globally accepted security standards; drive audits, assessments, and executive-level reporting.
- Build and manage a high-performing cybersecurity function, embedding security practices into technology and operational processes from the design stage.
- Drive automation and efficiency across security operations.
- Establish governance and risk controls for emerging technologies, including AI-driven systems, while advising leadership on evolving threat landscapes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external bodies to strengthen preparedness for cyber incidents and conduct resilience exercises.
- Define, track, and present cybersecurity metrics and risk posture to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile:
- 25+ years of overall experience in cybersecurity, with ~8+ years in senior leadership roles within regulated environments such as financial services, capital markets, or critical infrastructure.
- Proven ability to translate strategic security objectives into operational execution for complex, high-throughput systems.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and global security standards, along with expertise in advanced threat mitigation.
- Educational background in technology or cybersecurity, with relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
