Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in RBI regulations, corporate lending, underwriting, and credit monitoring.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our large corporate and MSME lending portfolios align strictly with regulatory mandates, internal policies, and audit benchmarks, thereby safeguarding the institution's credit quality and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Policy Review:

Serve as the principal authority on RBI (Reserve Bank of India) regulations concerning corporate lending, large exposures, asset classification, and provisioning.

Conduct comprehensive policy reviews regularly to update, refine, and align the banks internal credit policies with evolving statutory and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure impeccable accuracy in all regulatory reporting mandates related to credit exposure, non-performing assets (NPAs), and risk concentrations.

Credit Risk & Underwriting Governance:

Provide independent oversight on high-value corporate lending and underwriting proposals, ensuring rigorous risk-reward assessment.

Evaluate underwriting standards and credit appraisal methodologies across Corporate and MSME banking segments.

Establish and monitor early-warning systems (EWS) for proactive credit monitoring, tracking stressed assets, and preventing slippages.

Audit Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Lead the interface for internal, external, and RBI management audits (Risk-Based Supervision) concerning the credit and risk functions.

Ensure timely and sustainable resolution of audit observations, implementing robust corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.

Drive a culture of absolute compliance, mitigating operational and legal risks across the credit lifecycle.

Required Candidate Profile:

Experience & Background:

Total Experience: 13-16 years of post-qualification experience in commercial banking or Tier-1 Financial Institutions.

Core Specialization: Minimum 8+ years of dedicated experience in Corporate Credit Compliance, Credit Risk, Underwriting, and Core Banking Compliance roles.

Domain Depth: Proven track record in managing large-ticket corporate lending accounts as well as structured MSME banking portfolios.

- Comprehensive command over RBI circulars, master directions, and banking compliance frameworks.

- Mastery of Regulatory Reporting and statutory credit disclosures.

Credit & Risk Management:

- Advanced Credit Risk assessment, portfolio analysis, and Credit Monitoring frameworks.

- Deep understanding of Underwriting standards, financial modeling, and techno-economic viability.

Audit & Quality Control:

- Expertise in Audit Compliance, risk-based internal audits, and regulatory inspection management.

Business Segments:

- Corporate Lending (Large & Mid-Corporate)

- MSME Banking products and structural risk frameworks.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

- Exceptional analytical capability, financial acumen, and an eye for structural detail.

- Strong executive presence with the ability to interface confidently with regulatory bodies, board committees, and senior business leaders.

- Decisive leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring high-performing teams of risk and compliance professionals
