Job Title: Senior Role in Business Development - SVP+

Client: Upcoming AMC

Reports to: CEO

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with minimum 15+ years in distributor empanelment and active coverage.

Role Overview:


- The role will lead distributor-driven growth for an upcoming AMC by building and scaling strategic partnerships across wealth managers, distributors, private banks, and allied channels.


- The incumbent will drive fundraising, expand distribution reach, and support the overall growth strategy across alternative investment products, including AIFs, PMS, and private market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Distribution & Fundraising:


- Drive AUM growth across AIF Categories I, II, III and PMS through distributor partnerships.

- Deliver annual and multi-year fundraising targets in coordination with internal sales teams.

- Identify new investor segments and distribution opportunities.

2. Distributor Empanelment & Coverage:

- Lead distributor empanelment, due diligence, and agreement execution.

- Own distributor activation, engagement, and fund launches.

- Build strong relationships with centralized product and research teams of key distributors.

- Manage distributor communication, performance reviews, and productivity frameworks.

3. Stakeholder & Relationship Management:

- Serve as the senior point of contact for key distribution partners.

- Collaborate closely with investment, product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.

4. Product & Go-to-Market:

- Support product positioning, pricing, and launch strategies.

- Provide market intelligence on investor preferences and competitive trends.

5. Leadership & Governance:

- Build and lead the distribution sales team across geographies.

- Set KPIs, governance standards, and performance benchmarks.

- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 15+ years in financial services, with deep experience in asset management, alternatives, wealth management, or private banking.

- Proven track record of capital raising and scaling distributor-led growth in India.

Key Competencies:

- Strong understanding of alternative investment products and regulations.

- Established distributor and wealth management relationships.

- Strategic mindset with strong execution capability.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
