We are seeking a Senior Technology Lead in Digital Assets to oversee and drive the development of cutting-edge digital asset and tokenization solutions for security services clients. This role requires a broad understanding of the custody business, tokenization of funds traditional assets, digital asset products, and blockchain networks technology. The Senior Technology Lead will work closely with internal teams and external vendors, driving technology strategy, solution design, and implementation with a focus on regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

- The role will provide strategic technology leadership to the FSS business lines, playing an integral role in the growth and development of the Investor segment through digital delivery of reliable technology services. The role will shape the strategy of Digital Asset offering to Clients and ensure solutions are not only strategically aligned but are consistent with the goals and objectives from an operational perspective.

- Leverage technology where appropriate to streamline processes, enhance productivity, reduce risk, and improve controls.

- Deliver Technology end to end in a highly automated manner.

- Provide the leadership for a seamless service experience throughout the technology service lifecycle, ensuring that technology services are future proof and aligned with the overall objectives and governance standards of Group and Regions business.

- Responsible for engagement with the business for product volumes across markets, new clients, key/ hyper care clients across geographies.

Short Description:

- Solution Design and Architecture: Lead the evaluation, selection and design of systems for digital assets, blockchain based systems, and tokenization technologies, with a focus on building secure, scalable, and innovative solutions tailored to security services clients.

- Blockchain Network Expertise: Assess and leverage different blockchain networks (public ,private and public permissioned) based on business needs, regulatory requirements, and technical capabilities. Understand trade-offs between networks and select solutions that align with custody and asset tokenization requirements.

- Product and Market Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of digital asset products, custody mechanisms, and the overall lifecycle of tokenized assets. Guide product strategy by anticipating industry shifts and technological advances.

- Industry Insight and Strategy: Keep abreast of trends in digital assets, custody, tokenization, and blockchain networks; assess regulatory impacts in different regions and advise on compliant solution architectures.

- Vendor Evaluation and Management: Identify and assess SaaS and technology vendors in the digital asset and blockchain space. Work with external partners to ensure successful integration, secure architectures, and alignment with business goals.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, compliance, and technology teams to ensure that solutions meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.

- End-to-End Solution Delivery: Oversee the implementation of digital asset solutions, managing timelines, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring seamless delivery.

- Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.

Skills Required:

- 20+ years of experience in technology, particularly in digital assets, blockchain and custody solutions.

- Deep knowledge of public and private blockchain networks, tokenization, and custody solutions for security services clients.

- Strong understanding of digital asset regulations and compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.

- Expertise in digital asset products, custody models, and the regulatory landscape affecting digital assets and tokenization.

- Experience evaluating and integrating SaaS vendors and technology solutions.

- Strong communication skills and ability to operate independently in a high-velocity, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

- Financial market knowledge with some experience in Securities services especially around Custody and Fund Accounting Technology: - awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operates. An experience in handling investor segment including Asset Owners and Asset managers is preferred but not a must have.

- Business Strategy and Model: - awareness and understanding of the firm's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

- Risk Management and Control: - the ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the firm. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the firm and the role the individual plays in managing them.

- Financial Analysis and Control: - the ability to interpret the firm's financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.

- Governance, Oversight and Controls: - the ability to assess the effectiveness of the firm's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.

- This role would require 15+ years of relevant experience, covering the implementation of strategy into technology solutions and demonstrable understanding of financing and securities services business.
