Qualification : Engineering background with MBA or equivalent business context.

Role Summary:

- This is a high-ownership, high-ambiguity role at the intersection of product, engineering, and lending operations.

- You will define roadmap, own architecture decisions, and drive delivery across the full lending lifecycle - from thin-file credit scoring and origination to UPI/NACH-based collections.

- You'll work directly with engineering, risk, compliance, and business leadership, and represent the customer in every discussion.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision & Roadmap:

- Define and own the product strategy for the micro-lending platform.

- Translate business goals into a prioritised roadmap.

- Identify new opportunities - BNPL, MSME credit, co-lending - and drive build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.

Platform Architecture Ownership:

- Lead system design for a serverless Azure architecture (Container Apps, Functions, API Management).

- Own microservices decomposition, async event flows, data models, and API contracts.

- Enforce engineering standards across the platform.

Lending Domain Depth:

- Drive product execution across the full lending lifecycle: origination, bureau/AA-based underwriting, disbursement via UPI/IMPS, repayment via NACH/UPI Autopay, and delinquency management.

- Own the logic, edge cases, and compliance implications of each.

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Ensure the platform adheres to RBI's Digital Lending Guidelines, Fair Practices Code, and data localization requirements.

- Own KYC/AML/CKYC integration, KFS generation, and audit trail design.

- Stay ahead of regulatory shifts.

- Data, ML & Risk Signals.

- Work with data science to integrate alternative credit signals - Account Aggregator cashflow analysis, bureau data, GST/ITR signals, and behavioural data.

- Champion explainability and fairness in credit models.

- Prioritise fraud detection pipelines.

- Cross-Functional Execution.

- Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, risk, ops, and business.

- Run structured discovery, write sharp PRDs, and ensure sprint-level delivery aligns with architectural integrity.

- Remove blockers proactively; flag trade-offs early.

- Customer & Market Insight.

- Own deep borrower empathy.

- Conduct research with tier-2/3 city customers, self-employed borrowers, and retail partners.

- Use product analytics, funnel data, and cohort analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Technical:

- Python - backend systems, APIs, data processing.

- PostgreSQL - schema design, query optimisation, scaling.

- Azure: Container Apps, Functions, API Management, Event Grid.

- Serverless and event-driven architecture patterns.

- REST API design; async / message-based systems.

- DevSecOps basics; CI/CD pipeline hygiene.

Lending & Fintech Domain:

- 5+ years in consumer or MSME digital lending.

- Hands-on with LOS, LMS, or credit deaccessioning systems.

- Deep understanding of NACH, UPI Autopay, eMandate flows.

- Account Aggregator (AA) framework - FIP/FIU integration.

- RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, Fair Practices Code, KYC/AML.

- Bureau integrations: CIBIL, Experian, CRIF, CKYC.

Product & Leadership:

- Proven end-to-end product ownership from 0- 1 and beyond.

- Sharp PRD writing and ruthless prioritisation instincts.

- Strong data literacy - SQL, funnels, cohort analysis.

- Ability to mentor PMs and engineers on product thinking.

- Comfortable in ambiguity; thrives in high-growth environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

- Exposure to ML models in credit scoring or fraud detection.

- Familiarity with co-lending / FLDG regulatory structures.

- GSTN, ITR, or AA-based income verification experience.

- Engineering background with MBA or equivalent business context.

- NBFC / bank partnership experience.
