Senior Survey Programmer - Global AI Research Firm

About the Role :

The Senior Survey Programmer ensures efficient and accurate programming of all surveys to meet and exceed customer expectations. This role is critical to delivering a smooth, high-quality customer experience across quantitative and qualitative research projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review customers' study designs and formulate recommendations to optimize questionnaires for successful programming and data outputs

- Accurately program all studies into Qualtrics and the internal research dashboard

- Conduct quality control checks to ensure error-free surveys

- Ensure completion of survey programming by established deadlines; proactively flag alternate plans when needed

- Identify and implement innovative programming techniques and non-standard solutions to programming challenges

- Integrate complex logic (display logic, branching, skip logic, termination logic, etc.), graphics, multimedia, and specialty survey components

- Provide technical support and guidance on survey programming best practices

- Coordinate with Research and Customer Success teams to ensure successful survey fielding and project completion

- Accurately and efficiently clean raw data in CSV exports for seamless uploading into the platform

Success Metrics (OKRs) :

The Survey Programming team is measured on the following :

- 100% of programming errors caught before soft launch

- 100% of projects optimized for display and analysis before fieldwork begins (question type, filters/cuts, hidden values, etc.)

- Fewer than 10% of all projects require a tech team change request after fieldwork has started

Required Skills & Experience :

- Fluent in written and verbal English

- Exceptional communication skills - ability to engage directly with US-based clients via email and occasional video calls

- Experience in a client-facing role

- Expert proficiency (6+ years) in Qualtrics, including complex question types, survey flow logic, display/skip logic, embedded variables, and basic JavaScript

- Hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

- Highly detail-oriented with a perfectionist attitude

- Ability to program surveys quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines

- Bonus: Experience fielding online surveys using panel providers such as Cint (Lucid), InnovateMR, or Prodege

- MBA is required
