Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a high-performing logistics professional with 6-10 years of experience in warehousing and supply chain operations to act as a senior operational leader within a contract logistics environment. The role will focus on performance improvement, standardization, digital enablement, and scalable growth across a multi-site network.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong process engineering mindset, deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and the ability to partner with commercial, IT, and operations teams to deliver high-quality logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

WMS Ownership & Digital Enablement

- Act as the global subject-matter expert for WMS, driving deployment, optimization, and best-practice adoption across locations.

- Own the end-to-end WMS lifecycle, including solution design, configuration, testing, user training, documentation, and continuous improvement.

- Partner with IT and business teams to prioritize and deliver digital enhancements that reduce manual effort and improve service quality.

Performance Governance & Process Excellence

- Lead performance governance, tracking operational KPIs across sites and ensuring corrective action plans are implemented.

- Analyze inbound and outbound process data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and throughput improvement opportunities.

- Develop and implement global SOPs and standard operating models to ensure consistent execution.

Commercial & Customer Enablement

- Act as a technical and operational advisor for strategic customers, supporting solution design and operational modeling.

- Participate in customer discovery sessions to understand workflows, service expectations, and operational requirements.

- Price and model large-scale logistics solutions, ensuring accurate cost structures and sustainable margins.

- Support onboarding of strategic customers from solution design through system integration, UAT, and go-live readiness.

Financial & Business Performance

- Review and analyze site-level financial performance, identify gaps, and recommend actionable improvements.

- Ensure operational solutions align with commercial commitments and profitability targets.

Innovation & Capability Building

- Evaluate, pilot, and deploy emerging logistics technologies such as automation tools, scanning solutions, and omnichannel capabilities.

- Deliver structured training programs to enhance operational and commercial capability across regions.

- Provide senior-level operational support in internal and external stakeholder forums.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline; Masters degree preferred.

- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations within high-volume, multi-site environments.

- Strong expertise in WMS-driven operations, process engineering, and continuous improvement frameworks.

- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects across regions.

- Excellent analytical and financial skills, with experience in KPI analysis and operational cost modeling.

- Advanced proficiency in English, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

- Strong command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and practical exposure to Warehouse Management Systems.

- Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar are an advantage.
