Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute corporate and business-unit strategy aligned with the organization's long-term growth objectives.
- Lead strategic planning, including market assessment, competitive intelligence, industry analysis, and growth opportunity identification.
- Work closely with senior leadership/CXO teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable business plans and measurable initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate new markets, products, partnerships, channels, and expansion opportunities.
- Build robust business cases, financial models, scenario analyses, and investment recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives from problem definition through execution, working with teams across business, finance, operations, sales, product, and technology.
- Monitor business and market performance through KPIs, dashboards, and periodic strategic reviews, highlighting risks and corrective actions.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and market intelligence to identify emerging trends, threats, and opportunities.
- Support M&A, partnerships, fundraising, market-entry, and other corporate-development initiatives, where relevant.
- Prepare high-quality board/CXO presentations, strategy decks, executive summaries, and management reports.
- Challenge existing business assumptions and identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational improvement, and profitable growth.
- Establish governance mechanisms to track strategic initiatives, ownership, milestones, and business impact.
- Mentor and guide junior strategy/analyst team members and contribute to building a high-performance strategy function.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, business planning, corporate development, investment banking, or a similar analytical/strategic role.
- MBA/PGDM from a leading business school preferred; candidates with strong undergraduate qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Strong experience in strategic problem-solving, business analysis, market research, and financial/business modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to independently structure ambiguous and complex business problems and convert analysis into clear recommendations.
- Strong understanding of P&L, business economics, financial metrics, and commercial decision-making.
- Excellent Excel/financial modelling and PowerPoint/storytelling skills; familiarity with BI/data-analytics tools is an advantage.
- Strong track record of working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing strategic projects from conceptualization through execution and measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis in a concise, executive-friendly manner.
- High level of ownership, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and structured thinking.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment.
- Candidates from top-tier consulting firms, strategy teams, corporate development, high-growth companies, or leading organizations would be preferred.
