
Job Description: Senior Strategic Business Leader
This role targets senior professionals from McKinsey, BCG, or Bain (MBB) transitioning to strategic leadership at Gartner, focusing on driving enterprise growth, sales transformation, and cross-functional strategy.
Role Overview:
Lead strategic initiatives in global sales operations and business development for large enterprises. Partner with C-level executives to accelerate revenue growth through market insights, pipeline management, and organizational alignment. Ideal for MBB alumni with 8+ years in consulting or tech sales, emphasizing hunter mindset and advisory expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and close net-new business with large enterprises, building pipelines to exceed quotas via strategic B2B conversations.
- Oversee strategic planning, cross-functional execution, and high-priority projects with sales, marketing, and analytics teams.
- Drive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and growth strategies, translating insights into measurable KPIs and roadmaps.
- Lead team alignment, resolve execution bottlenecks, and foster high-performance culture across global operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 8-12+ years in strategic consulting (MBB preferred), B2B tech sales, or operations, selling to VP/C-level executives.
- Deep knowledge of , intent data, and tech stacks; exceptional communication and stakeholder influence.
- Proven cross-functional leadership in complex organizations, with strong analytical, organizational, and EQ skills.
Preferred Experience
- Background in management consulting from MBB firms, with exits to corporate strategy or business development.
- Experience at Gartner or similar research firms, handling $4B+ revenue sales forces or enterprise go-to-market strategies.
