Role Overview:
The Senior Sales Officer (FMCG) will be responsible for driving sales performance, expanding market presence, and managing channel partners within the FMCG vertical. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, meeting revenue targets, building strong customer and distributor relationships, and ensuring seamless sales operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in FMCG sales and be highly motivated, analytical, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Management:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned territories/products.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
- Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers.
Channel & Distribution Management:
- Manage channel partners, distributors, and retailers to ensure consistent sales performance.
- Build and strengthen distribution networks to improve market reach and product availability.
- Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, and adherence to company processes.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
- Resolve customer queries, ensure excellent service delivery, and drive customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs and gather feedback.
Market Intelligence & Sales Operations:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to inform decision-making.
- Track daily/weekly sales performance and ensure accurate reporting of sales activities.
- Analyze sales data and prepare performance reports for management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to optimize sales operations.
Sales Promotion & Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute sales promotion campaigns to boost brand visibility and product sales.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for trade promotions, signage, and merchandising support.
Key Requirements:
- 3-7 years of experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong experience in customer service, lead generation, and channel/distribution sales.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market expansion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, understand market dynamics, and derive actionable insights.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
