
Job Description :
Senior role in MEP Engineering and Design Services - India will play a strategic and hands-on leadership role in establishing and scaling the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Engineering and Design Services discipline in India. Lead a team that is expected to grow to 100+ members as the organization expands in the next 5 years. This leader will act as the primary bridge between India-based MEP teams and U.S. design, construction, and engineering stakeholders, enabling seamless collaboration and integrated project delivery across geographies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for MEP Engineering & Detailing Services in India aligned with DPR's global objectives.
- Drive growth and scaling of India's MEP engineering and detailing capabilities.
- Support business development efforts by offering technical leadership and client engagement as needed.
- Build strong relationships with DPR's U.S. leadership , project teams and FOC teams.
- Establish KPIs for efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- PE (Professional Engineer) License from the U.S. preferred. 18+ years of total experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Work experience across both U.S. and Indian engineering environments, with a deep understanding of cross-border collaboration.
- Proven experience in scaling engineering operations or setting up offshore capabilities.
- Exposure to MEP detailing and fabrication processes and their integration with Structural and Architectural workflows
- Experience in working in global engineering services or consulting organizations.
- Experience in leading, managing and making decisions amongst a group of peers.
- Comprehensive expertise in the integration of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, IT infrastructure and other critical integral systems specifically tailored to Adv Tech and Manufacturing projects is preferred
- Familiarity with local, national and international codes and standards governing MEP systems design.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to identify and solve engineering challenges with teams
- Knowledge of cost estimation, scheduling, virtual design and construction, quality control and safety regulations related to MEP design systems primarily is preferred.
- Experience in Design build/Design Assist projects in diverse markets such as Manufacturing, Data Centers, Healthcare, Infrastructure is preferred.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Continuous improvement of mindset by staying updated on industry trends, technologies and best practices
Travel Requirements :
- Periodic visits to U.S. offices for integration with DPR design teams and leadership meetings.
- Domestic travel within India for team engagement and operational oversight.
