
- We are looking for an experienced HRIR professional with strong expertise in Industrial Relations and Union Handling to manage employee relations in a manufacturing environment.
- The role will be responsible for maintaining harmonious relationships between management and the workforce, handling union negotiations, ensuring statutory compliance, and addressing employee grievances effectively.
- The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations practices, and collective bargaining, along with proven experience working with labour unions in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations & Union Handling:
- Manage industrial relations at the plant level and maintain positive relationships with labour unions.
- Lead collective bargaining discussions and negotiations with union representatives.
- Handle union meetings, wage settlements, and long-term agreements.
- Address employee grievances and resolve disputes in a structured and timely manner.
- Represent management in conciliation proceedings and labour court matters when required.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a healthy and productive work environment between employees and management.
- Develop strategies to improve employee engagement and workforce productivity.
- Implement disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and labour laws.
- Conduct investigations related to employee misconduct or workplace disputes.
Labour Law Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws and statutory regulations, including:
- Industrial Disputes Act
- Factories Act
- Contract Labour Act
- Shops & Establishment Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Payment of Bonus & Gratuity Acts
- Maintain documentation and ensure statutory registers and records are updated.
- Policy Implementation
- Implement HR policies and ensure adherence across the plant workforce.
- Support management in workforce planning, manpower rationalization, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Assist in drafting HR policies related to industrial relations.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with plant leadership, operations teams, and legal advisors.
- Liaise with government labour authorities, inspectors, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct training sessions for supervisors and managers on IR best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or Business Administration.
- MBA / PGDM in HR or Industrial Relations / Labour Welfare preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in HRIR within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience in union negotiations and labour dispute management
