Role Overview:
This person will lead and manage the full spectrum of HR operations across the organization, ensuring seamless execution of processes throughout the employee life cycle. This role is responsible for building scalable systems, ensuring statutory compliance, overseeing payroll and benefits, and driving operational excellence with strong governance, accuracy, and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Life Cycle Management:
- Oversee end-to-end HR lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, exits and full-and-final settlements.
- Standardize and automate HR processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure high-quality employee service delivery via helpdesk/HR shared services.
- Implement HRIS tools and ensure data integrity across systems.
2. Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Lead monthly payroll process with accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee variable pay, incentives, reimbursements, bonus payouts and audit trails.
- Manage employee benefits programs (insurance, leaves, gratuity, PF, etc.).
- Liaise with Finance to ensure correct accounting, reporting and statutory deductions.
3. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure 100% compliance with all labour laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, LWF, - Shops & Establishments, Minimum Wages, POSH, etc.).
- Lead audits, inspections and statutory filings.
- Develop policies and governance frameworks to reduce risk and non-compliance.
- Maintain updated records and stay current with regulatory changes.
4. HR Operations Excellence & Systems:
- Build and manage HR Shared Services framework (SOPs, SLAs, TATs).
- Implement HR analytics dashboards for metrics like attrition, headcount, costs, and productivity.
- Drive process automation and digitization initiatives.
- Ensure data security, confidentiality, and robust documentation practices.
5. People Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, mentor and develop the HR operations team.
- Act as a trusted business partner to leadership and department heads.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HRBP, L&D, and Finance teams for alignment.
- Handle escalations and complex employee issues with fairness and care.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. MBA / Master's Degree in HR or related field.
2. 15+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, preferably in mid-to-large organizations.
3. Strong expertise in payroll, compliance, HRIS, and shared services models.
4. Proven track record of managing large teams and multi-location operations.
5. Experience driving automation and process improvements.
