Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Private Equity Fund Accounting team in Bangalore/Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting lifecycle of complex private equity structures, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for our global institutional clients. You will work closely with investment managers, auditors, and cross-functional internal teams to manage capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations. By maintaining precise NAV and delivering high-quality financial statements, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' investment decision-making processes and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and review of periodic NAV calculations to ensure financial data accuracy for high-profile private equity funds.

- Manage the end-to-end capital activity process, including capital calls and distribution notices, to ensure timely and accurate cash movements for investors.

- Execute complex waterfall calculations and carried interest allocations to maintain compliance with fund partnership agreements.

- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate seamless year-end audits and regulatory filings for our client portfolios.

- Analyze investment portfolios and reconcile cash and position breaks to mitigate operational risk and ensure data integrity.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep technical proficiency in Private Equity accounting principles, specifically regarding NAV production, fee calculations, and financial statement preparation.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex legal documentation, such as Limited Partnership Agreements, and translate them into accounting workflows.

- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and global clients, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all financial reporting and issue resolution.

- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple fund deliverables under tight reporting deadlines.

- Possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, complemented by a professional certification such as CA, CPA, or CFA.

- Thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment, demonstrating the ability to mentor junior team members while maintaining individual productivity.
