Senior Research Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated person with a strong background in financial documentation, data accuracy, and research. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling financial statements, a keen understanding of various funding mechanisms, and familiarity with the Indian startup ecosystem, including PE/VC investors.

Key responsibilities include:

- Review and interpret key financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial ratios.

- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, investor activity, and funding mechanisms such as equity, debt, and other financial structures.

- Maintain and update databases with high accuracy, ensuring that financial data is comprehensive and timely.

- Track and analyze emerging trends within the Indian startup ecosystem, including recent investments, funding rounds, and performance metrics.

- Work closely with internal teams to support data needs for business planning, decision-making, and reporting.

- Generate and manage reports on investment patterns, financial performance, and potential opportunities in the market.

Functional Competencies

- CA/CS, Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data operations, research, or a similar role, preferably in a financial setting.

- Strong knowledge of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flows, with the ability to analyze and interpret ratios.

- Familiarity with equity, debt, and alternative funding mechanisms, including knowledge of the private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) landscape in India.

- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
