Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager - Emerging Clients, NBFC

Reporting To: Head - Emerging Clients

Location: Nehru Place, Delhi

Experience: 7 to 10 years in Business Development in the Mid-Market segment, preferably in a Bank or NBFC

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Job Purpose:

The Senior Relationship Manager will be responsible for acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships within the Emerging and Mid-Market segment. The role focuses on delivering sustainable profitability through customized client strategies, cross-selling, and upselling financial solutions while maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio aligned with the organization's risk and compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Emerging and Mid-Corporate segment.

- Lead end-to-end client acquisition processes including prospecting, lead generation, engagement, need analysis, and solution fitment.

- Enhance the organization's market presence and client base through strategic business development efforts.

Relationship Management:

- Build, grow, and manage long-term relationships with clients to deepen wallet share.

- Ensure consistent client engagement and satisfaction, delivering value-added financial solutions.

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying emerging needs and aligning products accordingly.

Deal Structuring & Risk Management:

- Structure high-quality credit deals in line with internal standards and client needs.

- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, credit analysis, and financial evaluation to ensure sound underwriting.

- Drive strong documentation practices and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.

Collaboration & Support:

- Work closely with internal stakeholders including credit, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless deal execution.

- Assist the Head - Emerging Clients in implementing business strategies and achieving profitability and asset book targets.

Reporting & MIS:

- Prepare and present periodic MIS, pipeline status, and portfolio performance to the Head - Emerging Clients.

- Track industry trends and emerging opportunities to support strategic planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related field.

- 7-10 years of relevant experience in Business Development and Relationship Management in the Mid-Market segment in a Bank or NBFC.

- Strong understanding of financial products, credit structuring, and risk assessment.

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

- High degree of self-motivation, ownership, and result orientation.

- Proficient in using CRM tools, MS Office, and financial analysis tools.
