
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of project-related services for Transmission Line and Substation projects, including installation, fabrication, testing & commissioning, manpower, and other site services.
- Review project BOQs, specifications, drawings, schedules, and procurement requirements to ensure timely sourcing and execution.
- Float RFQs, obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare comparative statements, and coordinate technical and commercial evaluations with the concerned teams.
- Lead commercial negotiations with vendors and support finalization of suppliers based on project requirements, commercial terms, and approvals.
- Prepare NFA and obtain management approvals through SAP Ariba, followed by timely release of Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and Service Orders through SAP.
- Monitor open orders, vendor commitments, delivery schedules, and pending procurement requirements to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
- Manage vendor registration and onboarding, including collection and verification of statutory, commercial, technical, banking, tax, quality, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate with Project, Site, Finance, Accounts, Quality, and Stores teams to ensure smooth procurement and timely resolution of vendor-related issues.
- Ensure procurement activities and documentation comply with company policies, contractual requirements, statutory requirements, and applicable project compliances.
- Maintain complete and traceable procurement records and ensure documentation is readily available for internal and external audits.
Skillset:
- Strong experience in project procurement for Transmission Lines, Substations, EPC, or power infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of RFQ management, quotation evaluation, comparative statements, commercial negotiations, and vendor finalization.
- Hands-on experience in SAP and SAP Ariba for procurement approvals and order processing.
- Strong knowledge of vendor registration, onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple procurement requirements within project timelines.
- Good understanding of commercial terms, purchase/work orders, service contracts, and procurement procedures.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, follow-up, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
