The Opportunity:
Lead the safe, timely and commercially disciplined execution of solar EPC projects from mobilization to commissioning, handover and defect-liability closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects, including planning, mobilization, site execution, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Lead execution teams of 10+ people and coordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, customers, utilities and internal functions.
- Develop and maintain baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, resource plans, cash-flow forecasts, procurement priorities and recovery plans.
- Control scope, cost, quality, safety and schedule; identify risks early and drive timely mitigation and escalation.
- Ensure availability and reconciliation of drawings, materials, equipment, manpower, machinery and statutory approvals at site.
- Conduct progress reviews, issue clear MIS reports and maintain reliable records for measurements, billing, variations, claims, delays and closure documentation.
- Drive contractor productivity, quality inspections, punch-point closure, testing protocols and performance validation.
- Promote a zero-harm culture and enforce site EHS plans, method statements, permits, toolbox talks and incident-reporting requirements.
- Manage client communication and protect project margins through disciplined change control, timely billing and effective contract administration.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of relevant solar EPC execution experience.
- Demonstrated leadership of an execution team comprising at least 10 people.
- Cumulative execution exposure of at least 250 MW in ground-mounted solar and 50 MW in rooftop solar.
- Bachelor's degree / diploma in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with strong on-site execution capability.
- Strong understanding of civil works, structures, DC systems, AC / HT systems, evacuation, SCADA, testing and commissioning interfaces.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, cost control, contracts, billing, quality systems and EHS requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively and remain at project locations when execution demands it.
Preferred Profile:
- Experience in open-access / captive projects and multi-site portfolio execution.
- PMP or an equivalent project-management credential.
- Experience handling challenging schedules, contractor recovery and client / utility interfaces.
Measures of Success:
- Milestone and commissioning achievement against baseline schedule.
- Project gross-margin protection and cost variance control.
- Safety performance, quality compliance and rework levels.
- Billing, collections support and change-order recovery.
- Client satisfaction and timely project closure.
