Senior Project Manager - IT/Digital Transformation

Job Summary :

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager with 10-15 years of experience in leading large-scale technology and digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery, stakeholder management, budget ownership, risk management, and leading cross-functional teams. This role requires the ability to drive strategic initiatives, ensure successful project execution, and align technology solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple, complex technology projects and programs.

- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

- Manage project portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.

- Build and lead cross-functional teams comprising developers, architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps, and vendors.

- Drive project planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery while maintaining quality standards.

- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues, implementing effective contingency plans.

- Monitor project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource utilization.

- Provide regular project status updates, executive reports, and governance metrics to senior leadership.

- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ensure compliance with organizational processes, governance frameworks, and quality standards.

- Mentor Project Managers and team leads, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Promote Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies based on project requirements.

Required Skills :

- 10-15 years of experience in IT project or program management.

- Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications, digital transformation, or cloud migration projects.

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Expertise in Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.

- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

- Strong experience in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and financial tracking.

- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

- Experience managing distributed teams, vendors, and third-party partners.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive reporting skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience managing cloud transformation, ERP, CRM, or enterprise modernization initiatives.

- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Experience working with PMO governance, project audits, and compliance frameworks.

- Exposure to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or enterprise Agile practices.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Masters degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.

- Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.

- PRINCE2 Practitioner
