Senior Professional - Corporate Social Responsibility

About the role:

Looking for a senior CSR professional to create and lead a major national social-impact programme from scratch.

Job responsibilities:

- Identify the right CSR theme, potentially agriculture, rural livelihoods or another development area.

- Design the complete programme - objectives, target beneficiaries, budget, implementation plan and impact measures.

- Select and manage NGOs and other implementation partners.

- Coordinate with government bodies, think tanks and internal stakeholders.

- Travel extensively across rural India to monitor the project on the ground.

- Resolve implementation challenges and ensure the programme delivers measurable results.

- Manage CSR compliance, especially Section 135, along with governance and reporting.

- Present programme progress and impact to senior management.

- Initially work as an individual contributor and later build a dedicated team.

What we are looking for:

- 20+ years of experience in CSR, social impact, philanthropy or rural development.

- Managed large and complex programmes from planning to implementation.

- Both corporate-level CSR governance and grassroots execution experience.

- Worked with corporates, foundations, trusts or large NGOs.

- Strong knowledge of CSR regulations and Section 135.

- Experience in agriculture or rural livelihoods - preferred but not mandatory.

- A masters degree from TISS or another leading institution.

- Willingness to travel extensively across rural India.
