Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and ensure achievement of production targets with optimum levels of quality, productivity, efficiency, cost and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead day-to-day production operations and ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production plans.

- Drive production efficiency, productivity and optimal utilisation of manpower, machines and materials.

- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and HR to ensure seamless production operations.

- Monitor production performance, scrap, rework, wastage, downtime and material consumption, and drive corrective actions.

- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, hygiene and process standards across the shop floor.

- Work closely with Quality/QA to address process deviations, non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Drive preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime.

- Support new product introduction, production trials and process improvements.

- Lead, develop and engage production engineers, supervisors, operators and workmen.

- Ensure effective manpower planning, shift management, shop-floor discipline and capability building.

- Analyse production data and prepare periodic performance reports for senior management.

- Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs, wastage and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics or relevant engineering discipline from a reputed institute.

- 12+ years of experience in Production / Manufacturing / Operations, preferably in a structured manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of production planning, process optimisation, quality, safety and manpower management.

- Experience in managing shop-floor teams, operators and technicians.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and execution skills.

- Good people-management, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.

- Strong orientation towards productivity, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
