About the Role:
Our client, a leading player in the eCommerce space, is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Personalization) to drive the next phase of their customer experience journey by building deeply personalized shopping experiences.
The role will focus on leveraging data, machine learning, and behavioral insights to deliver relevant and contextual experiences across the user journey from homepage to checkout. The ideal candidate will combine strong product intuition with a data-driven mindset to create measurable impact on engagement, retention, and conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the personalization strategy and roadmap across all customer touchpoints (home, recommendations, search, PDP, and marketing).
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and design teams to build AI/ML-driven personalization features that improve user engagement and lifetime value.
- Drive experiments and A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of personalized recommendations, content, and offers.
- Deeply understand customer behavior, cohorts, and lifecycle to deliver tailored experiences that enhance relevance and discovery.
- Partner with category, marketing, and CRM teams to create personalized journeys and campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Balance short-term optimization with long-term capability building in personalization infrastructure and algorithms.
- Track and improve personalization KPIs such as CTR, conversion rate, and repeat purchase frequency.
What Were Looking For:
- 5-10 years of overall experience with 3+ years in product management, preferably in personalization, recommendations, or growth within eCommerce or consumer tech.
- Strong understanding of recommendation systems, machine learning fundamentals, and user segmentation.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling data-driven products that improved engagement or conversion metrics.
- Strong analytical and experimentation mindset; comfortable working with A/B testing and analytics platforms.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, especially data science and engineering.
- Strategic thinking with a user-first mindset and ability to translate insights into product impact.
Good to Have:
- Experience working with recommendation engines, behavioral analytics, or customer data platforms (CDPs).
- Familiarity with personalization frameworks, predictive modeling, or real-time decision engines.
- Exposure to AI/ML-powered consumer experiences in high-scale environments.
