Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the eCommerce product vision and long-term strategy, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive product roadmap for web and mobile commerce platforms.
- Identify new opportunities, market trends, and customer pain points to inform product innovation.
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from concept, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, to launch.
- Collaborate deeply with engineering, UX/UI design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
- Prioritize product backlog based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.
- Optimize the customer journey across browsing, product selection, checkout, and post-purchase interactions.
- Partner with marketing, merchandising, and operations to drive growth metrics such as conversion rate, AOV, retention, and engagement.
- Leverage A/B testing, experimentation, and analytics to continuously refine product experiences.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decisions, validate hypotheses, and measure product performance.
- Track and report on key eCommerce KPIs, customer behavior patterns, and feature impact.
- Advocate for a metrics-focused culture by working closely with analytics and BI teams.
- Engage with stakeholders across business, engineering, design, customer support, logistics, and finance.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap updates, timelines, and feature improvements effectively.
- Lead cross-functional alignment for major releases, product initiatives, and strategic decisions.
- Work with engineering teams on platform architecture, integrations, and scalability improvements.
- Collaborate on third-party vendor evaluations (payment gateways, search platforms, CMS, personalization tools, etc.
- Ensure products adhere to security, performance, accessibility, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior product team members and contribute to building product management best practices.
- Foster a customer-centric mindset and drive innovation within the team.
- Represent the product function in strategic discussions and leadership meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 7-12 years of product management experience, with at least 4+ years focused on eCommerce.
- Proven success in delivering scalable eCommerce products (web and/or mobile).
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, technologies, and concepts such as:
- Product catalog & search
- Personalization & recommendations
- Checkout optimization
- Payment systems & fraud prevention
- Order management systems (OMS)
- Customer acquisition & retention frameworks
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance technical complexity with user-centric problem solving
