Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of recommendation systems using AI/ML techniques such as collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, matrix factorization, deep learning, and real-time data processing.
- Optimize the cart and checkout funnel through personalization, behavioral insights, and continuous experimentation-including A/B testing and UX enhancements-to increase conversion rates and reduce abandonment.
- Drive the creation and ongoing improvement of promotion engines that leverage AI/ML to deliver targeted, dynamic promotions and offers.
- Oversee the integration of diverse payment methods to ensure a smooth, secure checkout experience aligned with customer preferences and market requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, central analytics, marketing, and other stakeholders to utilize Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) for enabling onsite real-time personalization across all funnel stages.
- Apply a deep understanding of the product funnel-from Acquisition to Referral-to design personalization and optimization strategies tailored to each stage of the customer lifecycle.
- Partner with engineering, data science, UX, marketing, and sales teams to deliver scalable, robust AI/ML-driven personalized user experiences and funnel optimizations.
- Advocate for responsible AI practices, ensuring fairness, transparency, privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and bias mitigation.
- Define, track, and analyze KPIs related to AI model accuracy, personalization effectiveness, funnel conversion rates, payment success rates, and post-purchase engagement; drive continuous improvement through experimentation and A/B testing.
- Communicate complex AI/ML and product strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Proficiency
- Strong expertise in AI/ML methodologies, including supervised/unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and computer vision.
- In-depth knowledge of personalization, recommendation algorithms, promotion engines, and funnel optimization techniques.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations and a solid understanding of payment method optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Segment, Salesforce CDP) to power real-time personalization and analytics.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, real-time processing, and data governance principles.
- Thorough understanding of data privacy, ethical AI, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Product Management
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end product roadmaps, Agile delivery, and user-centric design.
- Data-driven decision-maker with expertise in A/B testing, analytics, and performance measurement.
- Strong analytical skills, leveraging funnel and product data to improve AI/ML models and personalization initiatives.
- Ability to translate funnel insights into actionable strategies across promotions, cart/checkout, payment, and post-purchase stages.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or AI/ML certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of product management experience with AI/ML products, personalization/recommendation systems, CDP-driven initiatives, and e-commerce funnel optimization.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, personalization engines, chatbot platforms, and emerging customer experience technologies.
- Proven success collaborating with data scientists, engineers, marketers, and business leaders to deliver AI-powered, customer-centric products.
