Senior Procurement Manager - FMCG

Job Title : Senior Procurement Manager

Location : Kolkata

The incumbent will be an experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement operations. This role will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, and ensuring cost-effective procurement across raw materials, packaging materials, and operational expenses (OPEX). The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive efficiency, quality, and value in the supply chain.

Responsibilities :

- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing.

- Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and OPEX categories.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors aligned with business requirements.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and performance.

- Lead vendor selection processes including RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans where necessary.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as production, finance, quality, and supply chain teams.

- Analyze market trends and risks to ensure continuity of supply and competitive pricing.

- Implement best practices and process improvements in procurement operations.

Qualification & Experience :

- Graduate or MBA (preferred in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field).

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong track record of leading procurement functions.

- Prior experience in consumer products / FMCG industry is highly preferred.
