Senior Procurement Category Manager - Construction & Design

Role Overview:

Leading global financial services organisation is looking for a Procurement Category Manager to drive the global Workspace Design - Construction category strategy and sourcing agenda. The role will cover capital works, construction, engineering, professional services, workplace furniture and design across multiple countries and regions. The position will be based in India with strong engagement across the AME region and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive category strategy, planning and sourcing for Workspace Design - Construction.

- Lead global and local sourcing projects to deliver savings and broader commercial outcomes.

- Manage categories including construction contractors, MEP, engineering, quantity surveying, programme management and professional services.

- Manage workplace furniture, interior design and architecture sourcing.

- Apply strategic sourcing, commercial modelling and Total Cost of Ownership principles.

- Build senior stakeholder and supplier relationships while managing commercial, contractual and operational risks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 14 - 18 years of experience, including substantial construction industry project management exposure.

- Strong experience managing comparable construction, capital works or Workspace Design - Construction spend categories.

- Strong strategic sourcing, procurement and contract management expertise.

- Experience managing global or multi-region sourcing programmes and senior stakeholders.

- RICS and/or CIPS qualification preferred; relevant master's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Project Management preferred.

- Willingness to work onsite from Mumbai.
