Fund Manager / Senior Principal Private Credit

Credit Heavy & Rainmaker Profiles

Location: Mumbai

Industry: Financial Services (Private Credit | Structured Credit | Alternative Investments)

About the Role:

We are hiring Fund Manager / Senior Principal for Private Credit platform.

The role has two tracks:

1. Credit Heavy Profile (70% Credit / 30% Front-Facing)

- Owns credit quality, credit appraisal, structuring, deal closure and portfolio management.

- Requires deep analytical capability and strong credit judgment across mid-to-large corporates.

2. Rainmaker Profile (70% Origination & Networking / 30% Credit)

- Owns deal origination, client relationships, market intelligence and closures.

- Requires strong promoter/CXO network and ability to create/customise structures on the go.

- Both profiles require a self-driven, independent thinker with strong deal orientation, excellent relationship skills and a solid understanding of private credit.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify new investment opportunities and build a strong deal pipeline

- Handle promoter/CXO relationships and drive deal execution

- Prepare & review credit appraisals, IMs and financial models

- Ensure high-quality deal origination aligned with investment strategy

- Structure transactions and present investment proposals to the IC

- Maintain strong credit discipline and portfolio monitoring

- Ensure regulatory & internal credit compliance

- Consistently achieve business, origination and quality targets

- Work closely with investors for portfolio discussions (as applicable)

Common Attributes:

- Strong corporate network (CXO/Promoter level)

- Deep product knowledge: private credit, structured finance, corporate finance

- Strong analytical, credit assessment and execution capabilities

- Excellent communication, presentation & negotiation skills

- Self-driven, proactive, target-oriented, team player

Sectoral Focus:

- Private Credit / Corporate Finance / Structured Credit (mandatory)

- Strong network in manufacturing, infra & non-infra sectors

- Exposure to new-age sectors/startups is a plus

- Experience working with mid-to-large corporates (deal size 100 cr+)

Experience Required:

- Credit Heavy Profile: Minimum 12 years (Private Credit / Structured Credit / Corp Finance / IB)

- Rainmaker Profile: Minimum 15 years (Origination + Credit)

Qualification:

- MBA (Finance) from Top 10 institutes
