Description:
- Partner with founders, leadership, and functional heads to align people strategies with business goals
- Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, org design, role clarity, and team effectiveness
- Provide data-driven insights on attrition, performance, engagement, and productivity
Talent Management & Performance:
- Drive performance management cycles (goal setting, mid-year reviews, appraisals)
- Coach managers on performance conversations, feedback, and development planning
- Identify high-potential talent and succession plans for critical roles
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution
- Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant employee relations practices
- Drive engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and action plans
HR Operations & Policy:
- Own and improve HR policies, SOPs, and people processes suitable for a scaling startup
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, POSH, and statutory requirements
- Partner with HR Ops/Payroll teams to ensure seamless employee lifecycle management
Culture & Change Management:
- Champion company values and culture across teams
- Support change management during growth, restructuring, or new initiatives
- Design and run initiatives around manager capability building and leadership development
Hiring & Workforce Planning (in partnership with Talent Acquisition):
- Collaborate with hiring managers on workforce planning and hiring priorities
- Support interviewing, offer discussions, and smooth onboarding experiences
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people initiatives to outcomes
- Hands-on experience in a startup or fast-scaling environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to handle ambiguity, multiple priorities, and fast turnaround times
- Solid understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices
- Data-driven mindset with comfort using HR metrics and dashboards
Qualifications:
- MBA / PGDM in HR or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably as an HRBP
- Prior experience in startups, tech, product, or high-growth organizations preferred
