The Senior Operations Manager will lead and oversee end-to-end daily operations across production, inventory, dispatch, logistics, and team management. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring timely order fulfilment, maintaining quality and compliance standards, and enabling seamless coordination across cross-functional teams.
The position plays a strategic role in scaling operations, optimising processes, and improving efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations across production, warehouse, dispatch, and delivery functions.
- Ensure timely processing, packing, and dispatch of customer orders in line with service level commitments.
- Own logistics operations, including coordination with 3PL partners, transport vendors, and last-mile delivery teams to ensure on-time delivery performance.
- Oversee inventory planning, stock movement, reconciliation, and wastage control, especially for fast-moving or perishable products.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, quality, safety, and regulatory standards across all operational areas.
- Define, track, and review key operational KPIs such as order fulfilment rate, delivery timelines, inventory accuracy, and productivity metrics.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports to senior leadership.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve SOPs to drive standardisation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams, including supervisors and frontline staff, to improve performance and engagement.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimise disruptions.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership capability with hands-on experience managing multi-function operations teams.
- In-depth understanding of logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and last-mile delivery operations.
- Ability to analyse operational data and drive performance improvements through metrics and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder coordination and vendor management skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth operational environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting tools; experience with ERP or WMS is an advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in Operations / Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
Required Experience:
- 7-12 years of overall experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or fulfilment roles.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a senior or managerial capacity overseeing end-to-end operations.
- Prior experience in FMCG, food, perishable goods, retail, or D2C operations is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing logistics partners, delivery teams, and warehouse or production operations.
- Experience scaling operations and implementing process improvements in growing organisations.
