The Planning team plays a key role in ensuring supply chain efficiency, production continuity, and resource optimization. The Sr. Officer - Planning will be responsible for developing production and supply plans, analyzing key performance indicators, managing supplier forecasts, and ensuring timely availability of materials and finished goods. This position is integral to driving operational accuracy, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration within plant and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply & Production Planning
- Develop and execute supply and production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and production data.
- Plan monthly and weekly production programs for assigned plant(s) to ensure on-time availability of finished goods.
- Calculate and deploy short-term (day-to-day) production plans for designated production lines or resources.
- Perform load balancing across plants or production units to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Material & Resource Planning:
- Determine and plan material, machinery, workforce, and transportation requirements for plant operations.
- Initiate procurement orders and release production or transportation orders as per approved plans.
- Analyze order plans and critical timelines to confirm material and product availability.
Supplier & Logistics Coordination:
- Develop supplier forecasts and define logistical processes to ensure seamless supply continuity.
- Collaborate with suppliers, logistics, and internal stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks and improve delivery performance.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Analyze, monitor, and report on key supply chain KPIs (production adherence, inventory levels, service performance, etc.).
- Identify plan deviations and propose corrective or preventive actions to ensure operational targets are met.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
