Senior Manufacturing Cost Optimization Role

Role Summary :

The Senior Manufacturing Cost Optimization will lead and execute cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering operations for our client in Bangalore.

This role is focused on hands-on execution, working cross-functionally to identify, deliver, and sustain measurable cost savings while building a scalable internal capability.

- This role requires 80-90% Travel across the manufacturing plants on US, Tokyo etc.

Key Responsibilities :

- Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities across :

1. Manufacturing processes and labor productivity

2. Engineering-driven design-for-cost and complexity reduction

- Apply Lean manufacturing, DFM/DFA, and industrial engineering principles to reduce cost and cycle time

- Program-manage multiple cost optimization initiatives, tracking :

1. Savings targets

2. Execution milestones

3. Risks and mitigation actions

4. Realized vs. forecast savings

Required Qualifications :

- 6-12 years of experience in :

1. Manufacturing engineering

2. Supply chain optimization

3. Cost reduction / operations excellence roles

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or engineered products

- Exposure to design-for-cost or design simplification initiatives

- Lean / Six Sigma certification

- Experience working with global teams
