Key Responsibilities :

Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and execute production plans based on demand forecasts.

- Coordinate with production and quality teams for timely material availability.

- Monitor and improve adherence to production schedules.

Procurement Coordination

- Plan procurement schedules and coordinate with central procurement teams.

- Track material shortages and arrange alternate sourcing.

- Ensure compliance with procurement processes and minimize write-offs.

- Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

- Maintain accurate inventory levels using ERP systems and physical checks.

- Ensure proper receipt, verification, and issue of materials.

- Monitor losses and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Logistics & Dispatch

- Plan and manage dispatches to ensure on-time delivery.

- Coordinate with transporters and relevant teams for smooth operations.

- Ensure legal documentation and compliance for shipments.

Vendor & Scrap Management

- Conduct vendor evaluations and development programs.

- Manage scrap disposal as per regulatory norms and achieve best recovery rates.

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and audit requirements.

- Maintain readiness for internal and external audits.

- Promote safety culture and ensure zero incidents.

People Development

- Identify skill gaps and implement training programs.

- Build a motivated and competent supply chain team.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare regular reports for decision-making and performance tracking.

- Monitor KPIs such as stock accuracy, delivery performance, and cost metrics.

Continuous Improvement

- Optimize material flow and improve process efficiency.

- Drive cost-saving initiatives and implement digital tools for better visibility.

- Lead improvement projects aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain or Operations (Engineering/MBA preferred).

Experience

- 1015 years in procurement and logistics within an industrial setup.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, ERP systems, and inventory management.

- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

- Familiarity with warehousing and transportation best practices.
