About The Role:
- We are seeking a Senior Manager - U.S. Payroll Operations & Reporting to lead our end-to-end project payroll reporting function.
- The role involves managing the complete payroll reporting cycle from data intake and validation to final portal submission - while ensuring every report is accurate, compliant, and on time.
- This position requires a strong leader who can design efficient processes, enforce accountability, and communicate seamlessly with U.S. stakeholders.
- You'll lead a performance-oriented team that delivers error-free reporting and continuous process improvements
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full payroll reporting flow for U.
public works and heavy-civil projects from paystub/timecard intake - data validation - packaging - portal submission.
- Establish and enforce SOPs, trackers, and checklists to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Lead, train, and evaluate a high-performance reporting team, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
- Maintain master schedules and due-date trackers; proactively identify risks and prevent submission delays.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR/Driver Compliance, Dispatch, Billing/AR, and U.S. Project Leads for seamless coordination.
- Publish weekly reports summarizing submissions, pending items, and corrective actions.
- Build and manage Excel/Google Sheets dashboards using lookups, pivots, and data validation to improve accuracy and visibility.
- Implement process automation using Power Query, Apps Script, or similar tools to reduce manual errors.
- Maintain clean, well-structured documentation and audit-ready files.
- Communicate professionally with U.S. stakeholders through calls and written reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 6-8 years of experience in payroll, finance operations, or accounting for U.S. or international clients.
- 2-3+ years of experience managing teams (5-15 members).
- Strong understanding of rate tables, job codes, classifications, and U.S. project payroll systems.
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written for U.S. client interaction.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, error checks, data validation).
- Bonus: Familiarity with Power Query, Google Apps Script, or automation workflows.
- High attention to detail, process ownership, and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
